LMICs are preparing to rapidly shift their energy systems from legacy grids infrastructure to new SCADA, smart grids, and digital substations. To successfully deliver this shift towards open energy infrastructure utilities require digital capacity building, integrated data infrastructure planning, and procurement of interoperable systems. The panel will share examples open principles and discuss lessons learned in integrating open infrastructure in emerging markets.
