FAME is an open-source Framework for Agent-based Models of Energy systems (see https://landscape.lfenergy.org/?selected=fame). Its purpose is supporting the rapid development and fast execution of complex agent-based energy system simulations. FAME has several well-tested components developed in either Python (https://joss.theoj.org/papers/10.21105/joss.04958) or Java (https://joss.theoj.org/papers/10.21105/joss.05087) to aid model developers and model users setting up agent-based models. This lightning talk will give a brief introduction to the ideas of FAME, its components and applications.
